The Backpack Program
The Backpack Program was created in response to an increasing number of nutrition-related problems among students from underserved families in Southwest Washington. Studies have shown that children cannot keep up with demanding schoolwork if they lack proper food support.

Northwest Natural Products® partnership with Share House provides students with the tools to succeed by giving them a food allowance every weekend. Every Friday, they get a backpack filled with five to ten pounds of nutritious meals and healthful snacks. They return an empty backpack to school on Monday morning and look forward to receiving another healthy gift at the end of the week.

In addition to providing a vital supplement to the families' income, Northwest Natural Products® active sponsorship of the Backpack Program plays a significant role in helping parents and children learn about nutrition.

The Good Family Orphanage
Since 2006, Northwest Natural Products® has been sponsoring the Good Family Orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine, in partnership with The Jewish Business Network's annual fundraiser event, A Day of Hope.

The orphanage has grown over the years and now covers all the children's needs in terms of clothing, education and healthcare. Thanks to donations from all around the world, it provides children a new home for a fresh start in life

Scholarships
Each year, Northwest Natural Products® gives college scholarships renewable for up to four years. They are given out based on need and academic achievement. In addition to the foundation's scholarships, we have partnered with the local Rotary Foundation to support even more deserving youths in Clark County.
